Sally Around the Bay

Ice Skating in the Embarcadero

One of my favorite things to do in the Bay Area over the Holidays is to go Ice Skating in the Embarcadero in San Francisco.

Last year we took the ferry from Larkspur to San Francisco, which drops us off right by the outdoor Ice Skating rink.

This is a fun event for all ages. Even the teenagers enjoyed it.

After Ice Skating, we walked across the way to the Hyatt Regency to check out the amazing holiday display we had heard about. It was amazing! Lights every where, a little miniature town, a huge Christmas tree and very cool elevators you can take up and down to see the whole view. My photos do not do it justice. This is something you need to see in person.

PS. I just learned today (thanks to @PoButler who mentioned it on Twitter) that there is another Holiday Ice Rink in San Francisco in Union Square.
