Tip #29: Patience is a virtue

I have been humbled by the courts this week. It has been a long, long wait!

Thank you to the US Supreme Court and thank you to 9th Circuit court of appeals for lifting the ban on gay marriage. 18 years ago I never dreamed of this day. 18 years ago I was scared to tell my employer about my relationship status. 7 years ago I was scared to “come out” online.

18 years is how long I have been waiting to be officially married.

We’ve come a long way baby!
