Forget about talent

Ferris wheel“Forget about talent, concentrate on showing up.” – Eric Maisel

I read this quote about a year ago and it has been my motto ever since. It doesn’t mean you do not need talent; it means you need to get over yourself (your worries, insecurities, doubts) and go for it. I think a lot of us worry about not being good enough, smart enough, organized enough, to try something new. We don’t take risks because we are scared we will fail, look bad, look stupid, etc…

I have decided 2014 is the year I am going to get out of my comfort zone and go for it. I’m going to put myself out there in the world, take risks, try new things and look at it as an experiment. I’ll let you know the results at the end of the year. ๐Ÿ˜‰

How about you? How about a challenge to commit to stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new?
