Turn off Google Event invites from my calendar
Google has given us many great tools. I love Google!
One thing I do NOT love from Google though is when someone invites me to an event from Google+ and that event automatically shows up on my calendar! This forces me to click on the event and then hit Decline only to find out the event is STILL on my calendar but crossed out.
This is VERY annoying Google and VERY invasive. Most of us are all already too booked and over scheduled, we don’t need our calendar program sneaking events in to our schedule without even notifying us and then worse not even letting us delete the event! Google what were you thinking?
I stopped what I was doing today to take the time, my precious time, to figure out how to make this stop!
Here is how: Log in to your Google calendar account.
Click on Settings
Under the General tab scroll down until you find the following options:
- Show events you have declined:
- Automatically add invitations to my calendar:
Check NO. Why no is not the default is a good question. After you click no, be sure to click on Save.
Tip #25: Turn off Google events from automatically posting to calendar.
- Try something new like a Haiku
- Wordless Wednesday: Think good thoughts
I do not know if it’s just me or if everyone else encountering problems with
your site. It seems like some of the written text on your content are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them too?
This may be a problem with my browser because I’ve had this happen before.
Many thanks
